Malia Kimura, DPT, a physical therapist, is the owner and manager of Premier Physical Therapy. She was born and raised on Maui and received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology and a Master of Physical Therapy degree, both from the University of Washington in Seattle. She also holds a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from A.T. Still University in Mesa, Arizona. Malia joined Rehabilitation Hospital of the Pacific (REHAB) in Honolulu as an inpatient physical therapist in March 2003 as her first job out of school. She transfered to Maui at REHAB's Kihei outpatient clinic in 2005. While with REHAB, she became a certified Aquatic Therapist to use her therapy skills combined with her knowledge as a swimmer. Malia was promoted to outpatient clinic supervisor of REHAB’s Kihei clinic in December 2006. She remained with REHAB until opening Premier Physical Therapy in June 2009 at the Kihei clinic location.
Malia has a strong interest in manual therapy for treatment of orthopedic conditions, especially for the neck and shoulder. She also enjoys treatment of stroke patients and giving patients practical home exercise programs. Malia enjoys watching movies, being with friends and family, and relaxing when she is not busy growing her practice.
Lisa Gregoire, DPT, has a broad range of experiences, working with children to adults in home health care, acute hospitals, outpatient clinics, and long-term care settings.
She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise
and Wellness from Arizona State University in Tempe and a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from A.T. Still University in Mesa, Arizona.
She is a dedicated mother and enjoys gardening, painting, playing her guitar and tending to her various animals.
Terri Driesel, PT, has 28 years of physical therapy (PT) experience in a variety of settings including home health, acute care, long term care and outpatient care. She received her Bachelor of Health Science PT degree in 1988 from The University of Missouri - Columbia. Terri loves sharing her knowledge with her patients and coworkers, often through stories of past experiences. She has a strong interest in the treatment of vertigo and strives to remain up to date regarding evidence based practice. Working at an inpatient hospital, she has extensive wound care experience including wound debridment, recommendation of speciality dressings, and application of negative pressure wound devices.
Terri is now providing wound care needs here on Maui. She is working with doctors and vendors to help get patient's wounds healed more quickly. At our Kihei location, she will help to provide wound debridment, recommendations for dressings, and patient education on self care and infection prevention.
Terri has been a Kihei resident since 2012. She is currently focused on learning to recreationally stand up paddle.
Kelly Runge, DPT, CSCS, joined Premier Physical Therapy in August 2015. She earned her Bachelors Degree in Health Sciences from Northern Illinois University and Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from A.T. Still University. Kelly is also Certified in Strength and Conditioning through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. She is enthusiastic about learning new treatments and keeping up to date with the latest physical therapy (PT) information.
When her lovely smile is not in the clinic, she is out exploring the ocean and forests of the valley isle.
Robert Silva, DPT, joined Premier Physical Therapy in August 2016 and is the newest member to our team. Bobby grew up in Northern California and obtained his Bachelors of Exercise Physiology at Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado. He then went onto earn his Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences outside of Boston, MA in 2016. Bobby has clinical experience in the rehabilitation hospital setting and outpatient sports therapy.
Bobby is a big sports fan and played soccer throughout high school and club soccer in college. He loves being active, whether it is playing sports, enjoying the ocean and exploring the beautiful scenery Maui has to offer. He enjoys working with patients of all ages, to assist them in getting back to doing the activities they love too!
Maddy Briones, Patient Care Coordinator - Kihei,
was previously with Rehabilitation Hospital of the Pacific (REHAB) in 2006. She continued her role with Premier Physical Therapy since their opening in 2009. Maddy brings with her years of administrative experience in the medical field and attention to detail. She makes sure things run smoothly and effectively for the clinic with scheduling and billing. When she is not working, Maddy enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 daughters.
Michelle Melchor, Patient Care Coordinator - Wailuku,
joined Premier Physical Therapy in April 2015. She assists patients with scheduling and answers questions from doctor's offices. She assists Maddy with billing. Michelle is always smiling as she keeps the therapists organized and helps patients feel at ease at the clinic. She has earned her Associates Degree in Liberal Arts in 2017. Michelle enjoys traveling with her family on the mainland, with plans for Arizona and Texas up next. In 2018, Michelle just may participate in the 52 mile Hana Relay, while listening to Bruno Mars.
Susan Erickson, Patient Care Coordinator - Kihei,
has worked in the medical field as an administrative professional in Maui since 1990. She enjoys her position at Premier Physical Therapy and working alongside amazing people! She is a familiar face to many of our patients. She is married, with one son in college. Susan enjoys spending time with family, friends, and life on Maui.
